Oasis Dome is an innovative urban design concept addressing Bangkok's critical shortage of accessible green spaces amid rapid urbanization. As team lead for the Vision team at Harbour Space Institute of Technology, I guided our multidisciplinary team in developing a climate-controlled, sustainable park system that offers Bangkok residents a daily dose of peace and refreshment within the bustling metropolis.

Bangkok's rapid urbanization has drastically reduced accessible green spaces, with only 3.3m² of green space per person (compared to the recommended 9m²). This shortage, combined with pollution, intense heat, and poor maintenance of existing facilities, has contributed to increased stress levels, rising obesity rates, and a diminished sense of community. Only 39% of Bangkok residents have easy access to public parks, creating an urgent need for innovative urban green space solutions.
Oasis Dome - a climate-controlled, multi-level sustainable park system that creates accessible urban sanctuaries throughout Bangkok. Each dome features a carefully designed ecosystem with multiple floors dedicated to different activities, from tranquil forest environments to exhibition spaces, sports facilities, and adventure zones. The domes operate on zero-emission, off-grid energy systems, making them both environmentally sustainable and resilient to urban infrastructure challenges.
